BTR Terms

A. Competition Rules

  • Participants must follow the rules and instructions given by the referees and event officials.
  • Nails must be trimmed and kept short.
  • Athletes must wear a half-sleeve or sleeveless T-shirt while competing.
  • No accessories are permitted on the competing arm, including: Wristbands, Bracelets, Watches, Religious threads, Rings or similar items
  • Participants must comply with all applicable arm-wrestling competition rules communicated by the referees.
  • Deliberate unsportsmanlike conduct, cheating, manipulation of equipment, or attempts to gain an unfair advantage may result in penalties or disqualification.
  • The referee's decision during a match shall be respected by all participants.

B. Conduct & Sportsmanship

  • All participants must behave respectfully toward athletes, referees, organisers, volunteers, venue staff, sponsors, and spectators.
  • Abusive, threatening, discriminatory, vulgar, or disrespectful language will not be tolerated.
  • Physical altercations, threats, intimidation, harassment, or deliberately aggressive behaviour outside the match may result in immediate removal from the event.
  • Participants must not damage venue property or event equipment.
  • BTR reserves the right to remove any participant whose behaviour is considered disruptive, unsafe, or detrimental to the event.
  • Such removal may be made without refund.

C. Health & Injury

  • Arm wrestling is a physically demanding sport and carries an inherent risk of injury, including but not limited to muscle strains, ligament injuries, joint injuries, fractures, dislocations, and other physical injuries.
  • Participants voluntarily choose to participate and acknowledge these inherent risks.
  • Each participant is responsible for determining whether they are physically fit and medically capable of participating.
  • Participants should seek appropriate medical advice before participating if they have any injury, medical condition, or concern that could affect their participation.
  • Participants must immediately inform BTR officials if they become injured or unwell during the event.
  • Participants must not compete if they believe that doing so would put themselves or another participant at unreasonable risk.
  • BTR will take reasonable event-safety measures and arrange appropriate first-aid/emergency procedures available at the venue.
  • To the extent permitted by applicable law, BTR and its organisers, officials, volunteers, and representatives shall not be liable for injuries or losses arising from the inherent risks of participation, except to the extent such liability cannot legally be excluded or results from negligence, wilful misconduct, or another legally non-excludable circumstance.
  • Participants acknowledge that this clause does not remove any rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.

D. Personal Belongings

  • Participants are responsible for their own belongings.
  • BTR does not accept responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings brought to the event, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
